The Government app serves as an all-encompassing platform aimed at consolidating services from various governmental agencies. It offers citizens a way to connect with government officials through a unified app developed by the Digital Government Development Agency, known as DGA, which focuses on enhancing the digital modernization of the nation’s governance. Importantly, Thailand has reached the global standard of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 regarding its cybersecurity management system.
Users can have full confidence in the Government app’s reliability. The security of the system and the safeguarding of personal information comply with the Personal Data Protection Act of 2019 and related laws. To use the app, individuals must complete a registration and identity verification process (KYC), similar to what banking apps require, including scanning a national ID card and a facial recognition scan. After this step, users can access numerous types of information and services. Presently, the app features over 150 services, with plans for additional offerings in the future, aimed at improving interaction between citizens of all ages and government representatives in the digital age.
